"Perfect!" Scott Adams, WNUA Radio, 95.5 Smooth Jazz Chicago

She chooses the classic standards and then creatively interprets them, making them unique and her very own.

April Aloisio
"...has a confidence, patience and knowledge of how to get to the heart of a song that puts her in the upper tier of jazz vocalists."

~ Joel Roberts
"These songs... come from an artist who can invest everything from a sunny Samba to a dark, brooding Tango with the ring of emotional truth." Chris Heim, Music Director of WBEZ Radio 91.5 FM, Chicago Public Radio

Her crystalline soprano voice moves further into interpretations of various forms of music, this time including popular composers as diverse as Antonio Carlos Jobim and Horace Silver.

"...An appealing, often moving singer." Alex Henderson, Jazziz Magazine

April adds to her Brazilian & Jazz standard repertoire by reinterpreting songs from Loggins and Messina to the Byrds and Patrice Rushen, concluding with the Stevie Wonder classic "Another Star" on her newest release, "Easy To Love".

"Aloisio's interpretations are virtually flawless. Whether backed by gentle guitarists or swinging with saxman Von Freeman, Aloisio is never short of excellent..." Eric Fidler, The Associated Press

April's vocal sound has been compared to Brazilian favorites Astrud Gilberto and Flora Purim.

April cites Elis Regina , Billie Holliday and Ella Fitzgerald as her personal jazz heroes. These influences are apparent when you hear April's scat singing, yet she maintains her own personal style.
